I had hoped to use this unit in my car with a Kenwood IPOD/IPhone adapter but don’t bother if you are using any kind of non-Apple aftermarket cords. The Apple cords lock into the little plastic gizmo and they work real well, but anything else won’t fit. One could probably remove the plastic cord lock mechanism and with a drimmel tool open up the opening for after market cords but then you would have to glue in your cord to make it hold.

This is 30 cents worth of aluminum stylishly shaped into an ipod stand, you do not need this.

Well I love all things Iphone, itouch, ipod.. try out all kinds of charging stands, cases, etc. Well I loved the design of this and I bought one for me to sync our 8 ipod/itouches in the house to our main Imac.. works great. Then I thought what a cute stand for the 2 stereos that kids have to use the line in to listen to their ipod through. Well setting up all went fine with the ipods but if you have any ITOUCH don’t use this for the AUDIO IN FUNCTION it won’t work.. since Apple put the headphone jack next to the charger.. you can’t put a line out cable in the bottom while the ITOUCH is in the stand to run in Audio in on their stereos. That was a big disappointment. The stand is as cool as it looks and as long as it’s not an ITOUCH/Audio in/out situation – buy it.. they are fun. And make sure you read the description don’t bother trying to “jam” a charging cord that has release buttons on the side in through the bottom – do as they say ONLY use the smallest adapter – only one that will fit in the bottom and stay in place.

The charger stand/dock works great just as advertised for iphones with protective covers on. The only negative encountered is the retaining clip will come loose if you are too “rough” seating the phone to the dock. Not a great big deal, just a disappointing pain they should be able to fix.
Plan to buy a second one even with the flaw.

The iCrado does it’s job well, I have no complaints about how it performs and I especially like that it holds my iPhone with the case still attached. Visually it’s a nice solid chunk of aluminum but the silver paint looked like it was done with some cheap spray paint. All in all this is a good product at $30, if it was $20 or less it would be a fantastic product.
